More notes on plastic planters :
Plastic is of particular use, not just because it is durable, but because it is non-porous and your plants won’t need the constant watering needed by plants grown in porous containers. Most plastic planters have their own matching drip tray, which is essential especially indoors. There are also those which are self-watering , designed with various methods of slowly absorbing moisture from a deep container below the main pot. These pots work on the premise that the base of the main pot is not sitting in water but is still able to siphon water up and distribute it evenly to the potting mixture.
