Dwarf Garland Spirea, spiraea x arguta 'Compacta', is an attractive dwarf, compact plant with very fine textured foliage. Clusters of small white single flowers appear in early spring. It makes an excellent shrub border or as a specimen plant. It grows 4-5 feet tall and 2-3 feet wide. Dwarf Garland is a low growing mounding shrub that requires full sun and well drained soil. The plant may be pruned back hard occasionally to rejuvenate. Can be used as a single specimen, hedge or in shrub plantings.
