Salvia Blue Frost, Salvia farinacea 'Blue Frost', is a true blue Salvia that flowers from spring till frost. Because Salvia is taller we recommend using it for height in your planters. Its masses of blooms are a pure stunning blue, and they keep coming in the sunny garden all the way from midsummer until the first frost. You can't ask for a harder-working, more eye-catching, easier-to-care-for annual! A large planting of Blue Frost is absolutely breathtaking, but you might also like to mix it in among annuals of all colors, simply for the beautiful blue accents. To increase bloom time, it should be cut back after the first bloom. 'Blue Frost is a magnet for butterflies, bees and hummingbirds and is deer-resistant. This plant can be a perennial in zones 9-11. In zones 3-8 it is an annual only.
