The Hardy Geranium cinereum Ballerina, 'Geranium cinereum', displays lilac pink flowers with dark veins, a purple center and bloom from June-September, provided it has good drainage. Only reaching 5 to 10 inches tall, these low growing mounds of dark green leaves topped with pastel blooms make geraniums an unequaled addition to the perennial border. It is best to lift and divide large colonies in spring. It is an excellent low-growing perennial that is both rabbit and deer resistant. A compact hardy geranium that remains as a neat cushion, and will not smother choice neighbors in a well-drained border, rock garden or scree. Their carefree growing habits make them an ideal low maintenance plant that will grow anywhere and provide years of beauty.
